2. I have an idea but I don’t have artwork. Can you create the artwork for me?

Absolutely. We have made pins from hand-written drawings on napkins. We’ll take your artwork in any format and convert it to manufacturing-ready artwork. Email your electronic artwork to us at xxxxxx@lapelpins123.com or fax your paper artwork to us at (877) 398-3123.

3. How long does it take to manufacture a pin?

Your custom made lapel pins will be in your hands in about 3-4 week after you approve your artwork. If you must have them in a certain number of days, just ask us. We will do our best to accommodate you.

4. I am confused by all the pin terms. Can you explain them to me?

Absolutely. Based on your budget and artwork we will recommend the correct pin type. We are experts in this field and will guide you every step of the way.

5. What is the minimum order quantity?

For your custom lapel pins the minimum order is 100 pieces.

6. What file formats are accepted for images?

We prefer images to be in .EPS or .AI formats if possible. Otherwise we accept .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, .PPT, .DOC, .PDF, .BMP, .TIF and .PSD.

7. Can you accept faxes for lapel pin reference images and ideas?

We recommend that you scan your ideas and email them to us.

8. What materials are your pins made from?

Our lapel pins are made from brass, zinc alloy and Iron.

9. What is the difference between Cloisonné and Hard Enamel?

The major differences between these two processes would be ground colored glass (Cloisonné) or colored enamel resin (Hard Enamel). The ancient Cloisonné process is only available in certain colors. Hard Enamel resin can be PMS color matched so it gives you choices of over 1,000 Pantone colors.

10. What is the difference between Soft Enamel and Hard Enamel?

Soft enamel uses colored paint. The paint is air-dried which causes the paint to settle slightly, creating a dimensional look. If you rub your finger over a soft enamel pin you will feel the metal ridges. Hard Enamel uses colored resin that is heated at a very high temperature to harden the resin. The resin and metal ridges are at the same level. If you rub your finger over a hard enamel pin it will feel smooth and you will not feel the metal ridges.

11. Can you manufacture lapel pins in different shapes?

We can manufacture your lapel pin in almost any shape. Check out our gallery to see some examples of unique shapes.

12. What metal plating options do you offer for your lapel pins?

We offer gold metal, silver metal, copper metal, black metal and various Antique finishes.

13. Can I get a prototype before you manufacture all my pins?

Sure. We sometimes recommend this if the lapel pin is complicated or if we are concerned about what the pin will look like when finished. The cost is around $75.00 of which part will be refunded to you and applied to your order (if no changes are made to the prototypes).

14. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and checks.

15. What are the shipping costs for my order?

We offer Free UPS Air Shipping to addresses in the United States.

16. Do you offer “rush service” if we need our pins fast?

We do not offer a “rush service” but will do our best to meet your delivery date.

17. What is the minimum order for a reorder?

Our minimum for your reorder is 100 pieces.

18. When is payment due for my order?

We require payment in full before we start an order.

19. How long do you keep our mold and artwork on hand?

We keep your lapel pins mold and artwork on file for a period of 2 years.

20. What if I don’t like the lapel pins after I receive them?

We stand behind our lapel pins 100%. All of our lapel pins and other products are inspected at least five different times during our manufacturing process. If there are errors we will fix them at our expense.
